Mold and Appraisal Issues

Recently, we've been asked to appraise several properties to measure damages from mold and mold stigma. As we researched this topic we found that there appears to be quite a bit of published data, but there doesn't seem to be an organized forum or resource that appraisers can use to share data. That's why we've created this Blog.

As we work through our appraisals, we will post what we find that may be helpful to other appraisers and professionals. This includes links, research, and articles about mold, mold stigma and remediation. We'll also post contact information about those with experience in this field. This Blog is also intended as a forum for all of us to post information about specific properties with mold issues, court cases, studies, and other pertinent information.

We are making this Blog a public forum, and we encourage your participation, comments, feedback and information sharing. Hopefully, this will become a valuable resource for all appraisers who occasionally deal with mold issues in the course of their work.

Best regards.
